Meet the Summer 2022 Activities Team!

We have three fantastic interns, as well as an assistant director and director of activities who will be planning and coordinating all activities this summer. Learn more about them below!

Tana McCormick,
Activities Director

Tana McCormick has a long history with Red River, making her first visit over 40 years ago and coming back many times throughout the years. Tana's husband (Doug) and she both learned to ski here many years ago!

Tana has spent much of her adult life working with children, from coaching little league, and youth basketball, to leading youth groups at church.

When Tana sold her business and retired in 2014, they bought an RV and traveled all across the US. Throughout the years, though, they kept finding their way back to Red River. Four years ago Tana and Doug decided to just stay the entire summer, and they’ve been coming back yearly since.

Tana and Doug started volunteering at the Red River Community House in 2018, and have been more involved each year. They truly love giving back to this wonderful community, and helping families make lifelong memories. They are looking forward to an incredible summer!

Jamee Jolly, Assistant Activities Director

Jamee Jolly is excited to join the Red River Community House team this summer as the Assistant Director. Jamee will wrap up a primary election for the Texas House of Representatives in May 2022. She and her husband Marvin own a cabin in the Upper Valley. The opportunity with the Community House was a chance for Jamee to serve the Red River community and enjoy the summer months in the mountains. Jamee has worked in trade associations and nonprofits for the last 20+ years including serving as the executive director of the Plano ISD Education Foundation, C.E.O. of the Plano Chamber of Commerce, executive director of the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association and director of Public Affairs for The Real Estate Council.

With a masters degree in Sport Marketing from Florida State University, Jamee enjoys the outdoors, golf, fly-fishing and hiking. She has an undergraduate degree in kinesiology and sports studies from Texas A&M – Commerce. Jamee and Marvin, along with fur-babies Maks and Mollie, live in Plano, Texas, where they attend Grace Church. Jamee and Marvin will welcome three new grandchildren in 2022 to bring the total to four grandkids under the age of three. It is an exciting time to be a Jolly!

Our Interns,
the Activities Leaders!

Emily Scarborough

Hi, I’m Emily! I’m from Tomball, near Houston, TX. I love playing soccer, skiing, and rock climbing.  I was in the Momentous college program in Glorieta, NM this past year, where we took a deep dive into our faith, while enjoying God’s beautiful creation. My future plans include getting my real estate license in TX, and following whatever else God has planned for my life!

I remember my first time visiting Red River being met by a bunch of bighorn sheep spread across the road. It was an incredible introduction. I can’t wait for the pretty views and amazing community of Red River this summer!

Chloe Haaland

My name is Chloe and I am from Dalhart, TX. I just finished my freshman year of college, and I am currently pursuing a major in nutrition. I am taking classes from a junior college and attending a Christian outdoor college program called Momentous this fall.

I enjoy dance and piano, both of which I have done for 13 years. My favorite forms of dance include ballet, contemporary, and hip-hop, and my favorite styles of music include classical and pop. I am looking forward to a summer enjoying the outdoors, full of new and fun activities!

Avery (AJ) Doyle

Hi! My name is AJ Doyle. I am a musical theatre major at Montclair State University and I am originally from Dallas, TX.

I love singing, reading, and watching Netflix!

I am excited to invest in the community in Red River and explore nature this summer!
